Dorothy L. "Dottie" Gerber, 71, of Bluffton, died at 6:50 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2014, at the Swiss Village Retirement Community in Berne. She was born Dec. 25, 1943, in Bluffton, to Herman Gerber and Blanche Easterbay Gerber. Survivors include a daughter, Kathy (Bruce) Toland of Geneva, and two sisters, Geraldine (Robert) Richardson of Hernando, Fla., and Roberta Eisaman of Bluffton. Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Gerber. Calling will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, at the Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Services will be at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14. Burial will be at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery.
