Dorma M. Haiflich, 88, of Bluffton, passed away Sunday morning, May 5, 2013, at Meadowvale Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born on April 10, 1925, in Wells County, to Rex and Zoa (Folk) Hoopingarner, Dorma married Richard E. "Dick" Haiflich in Zanesville, IN, on March 10, 1945; he preceded her in death on December 25, 2011. Mrs. Haiflich was a 1943 graduate of East Union Center High School and a member of the Liberty Center United Methodist Church. Before her marriage, Mrs. Haiflich worked at General Electric and later in life she worked on the production line at CTS in Berne, IN, for 25 years, retiring in 1990. She was also a cook at Liberty Center School, she sold Avon products and was locally known as "the Avon Lady", and also helped her husband on the farm along with being a homemaker. She was formerly a member of the United Methodist Women's Group. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include one son, Rev. Stevan (Lynette) Haiflich of Chicago, IL; one daughter, Karen Reinhard of Bluffton, IN; three grandsons, Shawn (Marci) Reinhard of Milford, IN, Phil (Heidi) Haiflich of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Andy (Lauren) Haiflich of Ft. Wayne, IN; and nine great-grandchildren. Aside from her parents and husband, Dorma was also preceded in death by one brother, Carl Hoopingarner; and two sisters, Pauline Snyder Herr and Julia Burger. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 9, 2013, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Goodwin - Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel. Services will be held Friday, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home, with Pastor Devin Cook officiating. Burial will be at Mossburg Cemetery in rural Wells County. In lieu of floral tributes, the family has asked that contributions be given to Family LifeCare of Berne, IN, or the Liberty Center United Methodist Church.
