Donna K. Lewis, 72, of Bluffton, died at 12:58 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2011, at her residence. Mrs. Lewis was born in Bluffton on March 8, 1939, to William and Rosetta (Jones) Betz. She married Clyde M. Lewis in Bluffton on Aug. 20, 1955; he preceded her in death on April 25, 2001. Mrs. Lewis was a housewife, and attended Trinity Bible Methodist Church in Tocsin. Surviving relatives include two sons, Manuel (Stacey) Lewis of Brownsburg and Clyde M. (Deanna) Lewis Jr., of Danville, Ill.; two daughters, Bonita Winters of Danville, Ill., and Loretta (Chester) Slinkard of Lawrence; one foster son, Johnny (Debra) Gravett of Rock Springs, Ga.; one brother, Richard (Phyllis) Betz of Muskegon, Mich.; three sisters, Thelma (Don) Rose of Muskegon, Mich., Lois Pence of LaFayette, Ga., and Geraldine Kinsey of Bluffton; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Lewis was also preceded in death by her fostermother, Lucile Millington; four brothers, Robert Jones, James Bailey, Chancey Betz and William C. Betz; two sisters, Betty Combs and Bertha Jernigan; and one grandson. Calling hours will be from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2011, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Andrew Street officiating. Burial is at Fairview Cemetery, in Bluffton. Preferred memorials are to the Family Hospice and Palliative Care.
