Donna S. Helms, 69, of Ossian, passed away early Monday morning, Nov. 14, 2016, at Ossian Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Bluffton on June 4, 1947, to Walter "Bud" and Mildred (McFarren) Campbell, Donna married Harry Helms in Geneva on April 10, 1983; he preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 1991.

Donna was a 1965 graduate of Liberty Center High School and a member of the McNatt United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Tim (Julie) Thompson of Poneto, Todd (Karen) Thompson of Liberty Center, and Curt (Nikki) Thompson of Ossian; nine grandchildren, Kaleb Thompson, Megan (Isaac) Tungate, Zach Thompson, Ashley (Dane) Zoda, Clayton Thompson, Grant Thompson, Brooklynn Thompson, Reid Thompson, and Rayna Thompson; four great-grandchildren, Bryce Patrick, Trace Zoda, Camden Zoda, and Eli Tungate.  She was also survived by a sister, Linda (Ken) Gephart of Bluffton; and three brothers, Bob (Connie) Campbell of Liberty Center, Dennis (Diane) Campbell of Frankfort, and Ron (Carol) Campbell of Liberty Center.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Terry Thompson.

Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton.  Services will be held Friday morning, Nov. 18, 2016, at 10:00 AM, at the funeral home, with one hour of visitation prior to the service.  Pastor Rod Correll will be officiating.  Burial will be at McFarren Cemetery.
