Donald R. "Don" Schwartz, 68, of Berne, passed away Friday afternoon, Feb. 7, 2020, at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne.

Don was born in Portland on Dec. 20, 1951, to Solomon B. and Ruth E. (Eicher) Schwartz.  His mother survives in Berne.

A 1970 graduate of Bluffton High School, Don was a long-time truck driver for Coca-Cola in Ft. Wayne.  He then went to work at All American Homes in Decatur and had most recently worked at Studabaker Specialty Woodworks in Bluffton.

Don attended the Berne Evangelical Church and loved golfing and bowling.  He enjoyed collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, along with many other things.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his mother, Don is survived by a son, Jason R. Schwartz of Portland; three daughters, Danielle S. Johnson of Columbia City, Jessica S. (Chris) Privett of Ft. Wayne, and Tiffany A. Amweg (Wes Lamons) of Decatur; 10 grandchildren, Ashley Johnson (Jared Tanner), Courtney Johnson (Jordan Andrews), Emily Johnson, Taren, Trendon, Tenley, and Terryck Privett, and Mecennah, Maddex, and Maven Amweg; and three great-grandchildren, Miyah and Mason Andrews, and Olivia Tanner.  He is also survived by a sister, Sonja (Mike) Kelly of Berne; and seven brothers, Robert (Becky) Schwartz of Bluffton, Steve (Christy) Schwartz of South Lyon, MI, Myron (Liz) Schwartz of Celina, OH, Anthony (Michelle) Schwartz of Bluemont, VA, Kevin (Schekinah) Schwartz of Asheville, NC; David (Charla) Schwartz of Muncie, and Chris (Naundus) Schwartz of Bluffton.

Aside from his father, Don was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Larry E. Johnson.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020, from 4:00 until 8:00 PM, at the Berne Evangelical Church, 5481 S. 450 W. Berne, IN.  Services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 12 ^th , at 10:00 AM, at the church, with one hour of visitation prior to the service.  Rev. Allen Sudmann will officiate the service.  Burial will follow at the Berne Evangelical Cemetery.
