Obituary

Donald E. Kipfer, age 84, of Bluffton, passed away Friday, February 18, 2011, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center.

Born on August 10, 1926, in Adams County, to David and Fannie (Reinhart) Kipfer, Don married Norma Jean Lautzenschleger, who survives.

Also surviving includes two sons, Ron D. Kipfer of Craigville, and Wayne E. (Lisa) Kipfer of Bluffton; two granddaughters, Natasha (Brandon) Mechling and Sahara (Dan) Lautenheiser; and two great-grandchildren, Collin and Aschlyn Mechling.

Aside from his parents, Don was also preceded in death by his sister, Pauline Fiechter, and brother, Arthur Kipfer. Visitation will begin Sunday, February 20, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Goodwin Memorial Chapel, and then Monday, from 1:00 to 8:00 P.M. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at 10:30 A.M. at Goodwin Memorial Chapel, with an hour of visitation prior to the service. Jerry Flueckiger will be officiating the service. Burial will be at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in rural Bluffton.
