Diane K. Pease, 83, of rural Keystone, passed away Monday morning, August 3, 2026, at Swiss Village Retirement Facility in Berne.

Diane was born in Jackson, Michigan on November 21, 1942, to Robert Garrett and Eleanor (Jenkins) Garrett-Strahley. She married Carl W. Pease in Bluffton on August 21, 1960. He preceded her in death on July 3, 2017.

A 1960 graduate of Bluffton High School, Diane worked for the State Highway Department for over 20 years. She also helped her husband on the family farm.

Diane enjoyed going to the Indianapolis 500 time trials with her husband for 30 years and visiting casinos together in their free time. She enjoyed spending time with her family; she was very proud of her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Rob Pease of Keystone and Mike (Lynn) Pease of North Liberty; a brother, Robert (Paula) Garrett; five grandchildren, Brandi Barger of Keystone, Danica (Casey) Springer of Monroe, Tylar (Drew) Klosterman of Berne, Landon (Brit) Pease of Indianapolis and Ashton (Gavin) Hopkins of Hendersonville, NC; seven great grandchildren, Madison, Marianne, Carly, Briggs, Blakely, Carleigh, and Sloane; along with two great-great grandchildren, Kaylyn and Kaylani.

In addition to her parents and husband, Diane was preceded in death by a grandson, Chris Pease.

Visitation will be Friday, August 7, 2026, from 2:00 until 8:00 PM, at Goodwin - Harnish Funeral Home in Bluffton. Services will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 10:30 AM, at the funeral home, with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Barry Crosbie will officiate. Burial will follow at Stahl Cemetery in Wells County.
