Diana S. Tonner, 65, of rural Decatur, died at 9:37 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2011, at her residence. Mrs. Tonner was born in Decatur on March 22, 1946 to Carl and May (Kaehr) Hirschy. She married William D. Tonner in Berne on June 3, 1966; he survives. A 1964 graduate of Adams Central High School, Mrs. Tonner was a housewife and also bookkeeper for W. Tonner Farms. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church. Other surviving relatives include two sons, Tim (Susie) Tonner and Trent(Michelle) Tonner, both of Bluffton; one daughter, Tonia (Steve) Price of Bluffton; one brother, Ned (Glenna) Hirschy of Fort Wayne; and 11 grandchildren. Mrs. Tonner was preceded in death by one son, Tyler W. Tonner, who died on Aug. 17, 1976; one brother, Vernon Hirschy; and two sisters, Marlene Huffman and Shirley Brite. Calling hours will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 8, and from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 9, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton, and from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, at the Apostolic Christian Church East. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at the church with Edward Schwartz and Doyle Frauhiger officiating. Burial is at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery.
