Clarence F. "Coon" Brickley, 67, of rural Craigville, died at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2011, at his residence. Mr. Brickley was born in Bluffton on Aug. 15, 1943, to Herbert and Gladys (Rohrabaugh) Brickley. He married Debra Nicholas in Bluffton on March 9, 1985; she survives. A graduate of Rock Creek High School, Mr. Brickley worked as a construction foreman with PrimCo Construction in Fort Wayne. He started there in 1969 and retired in January 2011. He was a member of Hope Missionary Church in Bluffton. He played basketball for Rock Creek High School and was an avid Nascar and Bobby Knight fan. Other surviving relatives include five daughters, Lynn (Gary) Lee of Fort Wayne, Amy (Tim) Rohr of Ossian, Julee (Brian) Bradburn of Ossian, Megan (Loren) Hall of Uniondale and Karla Brickley of Ossian; three brothers, Dean (Gelene) Brickley of Ossian; Bill (Lois) Brickley and Jerry (Pat) Brickley, all of Bluffton; seven sisters, Elizabeth (William) Heron of Montpelier, Frieda Key (Ken) Jackson of Monroeville, Beatrice (John) Huffman of Goshen, Janet Marshall of Fort Wayne, Dorothy (Enos) Gore of Keystone, Alice Jacobs of Ossian and Dixie (Hank) Osborn of Ossian. Mr. Brickley was preceded in death by five brothers, Georgie, Bryce, Richard, Chester and Lester "Warren" Brickley; and one sister, Madge Jan Knight. Calling hours will be from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, at the funeral home with Gary Aupperle officiating. Burial is at Horeb Cemetery, in Wells County. Preferred memorials are to the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, 5910 Homestead Road, Fort Wayne, Hope Missionary Church, or the family.
