Cherylynne L. Baumgartner, 60, of rural Ossian, died at 4:48 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, in the emergency room of the Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Baumgartner was an employee of Wayne Feeds in Fort Wayne and Pretzels Inc. in Bluffton. She was a 1969 graduate of Norwell High School. She was a homemaker and a grandmother. She loved cooking and baking, especially strawberry pie. She loved the Christmas season and celebrating with friends and family. She was born Dec. 28, 1950, in Wells County, to Donald Macon and Margaret Stewart Macon. She married Larry D. "Bummie" Baumgartner May 8, 1982, in Kentucky. Her husband survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Cherity (Carl) Ross of Fort Wayne; two grandchildren, Tanner Ross and Chloe Ross; a sister, Mardonna (John) Craig of Mesa, Ariz.; and two brothers, Vaughn (Marlene) Macon of Bluffton and Steve (Cathy) Macon of Casa Grande, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her parents. A brother, Michael Macon, also preceded her in death in 2007. Calling will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel, 3220 E. Ind. 124, Bluffton. Services will be held at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, with Pastor Neil Ainslie officiating. Burial will be at the Murray Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to the donor's choice.
