Charles "Chuck" L. Ritter, 55, of Ossian, passed away Monday, February 10, 2014, at 4:46 P.M., at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born on August 26, 1958, in Chicago, IL, to Robert S. and Beverly D. (Hientzelman) Ritter, Chuck married Nancy S. Sutorius in Yoder, IN, on June 12, 1993; she survives. Chuck worked at Fleetwood in Decatur for 15 years and later worked for Trusted Manufacturing in Ossian. He first and foremost enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In his free time, he also enjoyed carpentry and the outdoors, along with boating and other water sports at Hamilton Lake. His stubbornness and orneriness will never be forgotten and will most be remembered for helping others and his ability to make people laugh. Along with his wife, Chuck is survived by two sons, Josh C. (Janet) Ritter of Huntertown, IN, and Robbie S. Ritter of Ossian; two daughters, Shannon N. (Tony Jr.) Bennett of Uniondale, IN, and Tiffany S. Ritter of Fort Wayne, IN; eight grandchildren, Gage Ritter, Alyssa Ritter, Taylor Bennett, Hayden Bennett, Kaylee Bennett, Tanner Booher, Brooklynn Booher, and Briaunna Booher; two brothers, Robert "Bob" S. (Natalie) Ritter Jr. of Valrico, FL, and Tim A. Ritter of Brookesville, FL; one sister, Debbie D. Worthen of Tampa, FL; his mother and father-law, Ted and Kay Sutorius of Yoder, IN; and a special friend, his great uncle Rich of Sun City, FL. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 15, 2014, from 11:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M., at Goodwin - Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Services will be held immediately following visitation at 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Steve Kelly Cancer Relief Foundation or "Chuckstrong".
