Obituary

Byron R. "Bud" Speicher, 79, of Bluffton, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Markle Health and Rehabilitation.

He was born Feb. 10, 1938, in Goshen, to Ira and Rosella Hostetler Speicher. He married Phyllis J. Zesiger in Albion on Nov. 19, 1984; she survives.

A graduate of Ligonier High School in 1956, he served in the Army Reserves. Bud retired in 1994 from Freudenberg NOK in Ligonier as general manager. He was a former member of Maple Grove Church in Topeka, Ind.

Bud enjoyed landscaping and was an avid NRA member. He enjoyed politics, construction, and sang in gospel groups for many years.

He is survived by two sons, Dean (Amanda) Speicher of Ligonier, and Randy (April) Speicher of Noblesville; two stepchildren, Sutton (Todd) Shalley of Bluffton, and Jonah Smith of Falls Church, Va.; a sister, Janice Lintz of Millersburg; and nine grandchildren.

A public graveside service will be held a
t 3 p.m. Thursday, July 27, at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Topeka, Ind., with Harold Gingerich officiating. Burial will also be in the cemetery.
