Brandon J. Mohr Snodgrass, 14, of rural Bluffton, died at 5 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2013, at his residence. Brandon was a sixth-grader at Bluffton-Harrison Middle School and was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Bluffton. Brandon had a love for people, music, and the outdoors. He had a kind heart and a special bond with his animals. He was born Aug. 8, 1998, in Van Wert County, Ohio, to Brian Blue (now residing in Arizona) and Tara J. Mohr Pernell (now residing in Decatur with his stepfather, Sergio Pernell). He was adopted by Walter and Sharolyn Snodgrass of Bluffton, and they survive. Also surviving are three sisters, Aneesa Pernell and Larissa Pernell, both of Decatur, and Mandie (Daniel) Clem of Texas; three brothers, Tysen Pernell of Decatur, Trevon Pernell of Fort Wayne, and Zebulun Snodgrass of Bluffton; and his grandparents, Dan and Deloris Reinhard of Remington, Ind., Linda Blue of Van Wert, Ohio, Gary DeVault of Kansas, and Ruth Pernell of Lima, Ohio. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Apostolic Christian Church East with Gary Tonner and Lynn Fiechter officiating. There will be calling from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Goodwin-Cale and Harnish Memorial Chapel, 3220 E. Ind. 124, Bluffton. There will be additional calling one hour prior to the service at the church Saturday morning. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Woodland Union Cemetery at Van Wert, Ohio.
