Billie W. Collier, 74, of Pennville, passed away Tuesday morning, Nov. 17, 2020, at Majestic Care of New Haven.

Billie was born in Bluffton on Oct. 17, 1946, to Weldon and Anna "Lucille" (Hawk) Collier.  Both parents preceded him death.

Billie served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion Post 111 in Bluffton.  He was a semitruck driver for over 30 years, working most of those years for Roadway Freight.  He also drove several years as an independent driver.  His hobbies included hanging out on his front porch and attending races at the Montpelier Motor Speedway.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include a son, Weldon (Sherri) Collier of New Egypt, NJ; two daughters, Stacey Brickley-Corwin of Pennville, and Samantha Brickley (fiancé Rodney Southerland) of Hartford City; three sisters, Pat (Thomas) Wade of Poneto, Joyce Eisenhut of Bluffton, and Gail (Joe) Brickley of Bluffton; and five grandchildren, Brandon Collier, Stephen Barnes, Calaeb Brickley, Skyla Brickley, and Sarah Southerland.

In addition to his parents, Billie was preceded in death by a son, Richard Brickley; and a sister, Carolyn Jean McAfee.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and health restrictions in our community, private family services are being held at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton, officiated by Pastor Tony Robles.  Burial will be at M.R.E. Cemetery in Berne with military rites conducted by the Berne American Legion Post 468 in conjunction with the US Army Honor Guard.
