Bertha "Mae" Strahm, 86, of Bluffton, died at 8:05 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 23, 2010) at the Christian Care Retirement Community. Mrs. Strahm worked for 30 years at the Dutch Mill restaurant, retiring in 1997. She was also a homemaker. She was born Dec. 10, 1924, in Wells County, to Henry Meyer and Lucy Jones Meyer. She married Aden D. Strahm Nov. 11, 1944, in Wells County; her husband died Jan. 15, 1992. Survivors include a son, Daniel D. (Donna) Strahm of Craigville; a daughter, Pat L. Wall of Bluffton; and 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was the last of her family. Calling will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. There will be additional calling from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Apostolic Christian Church East. Services will be held at the church at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday with Ed Schwartz and Phil Stettner officiating. Burial will be at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery.
