Benjamin D. Dunsmore, age 38, of Bluffton, passed away Tuesday morning, July 18, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, following a short battle with cancer.

Ben was born in Bluffton on Aug. 27, 1984, to Dennis and Sandy (Lucabaugh) Dunsmore.  Both parents survive in Kissimmee, FL.

Ben graduated in 2003 from Faith Heritage Christian School in Evansville, and later attended the University of Southern Indiana.  He was a compassionate person, who loved animals, collected Michael Jordan basketball shoes, and also enjoyed cooking.  Even from a young age Ben had an entrepreneurial spirit, having owned and operated his own eBay business, buying and selling shoes and other athletic memorabilia.

In addition to his parents, Ben is survived by a daughter, Karissa Chamlee of Evansville; a brother, Josh (Amy) Dunsmore of Craigville; his paternal grandmother, Iola Dunsmore of Portage, MI; along with three nephews and two nieces.

Ben was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Omer and Mary Ann Lucabaugh, along with his paternal grandfather, James Dunsmore.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 20, 2023, from 2:00 until 5:00 PM, at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton, followed immediately by a memorial service at 5:00 PM.  Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Bluffton at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to "Friends of the Shelter", in honor of Ben's love for animals.
