Beatrice "Bea" Stout, 84, a resident of Bluffton since 1946, died at 7:47 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at the Meadowvale Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Stout was born Jan. 17, 1927, in Greenville, S.C., to Bryant Stout and Nannie Brady Stout. Survivors include three daughters, Judy (Larry) Clifford of Bluffton, Kay (Robert) Mohler of Bluffton, and Bonnie Etie of Fort Wayne; a son, Randy (Jean) Stout of Bluffton; nine grandchildren, I. Jay Miller, M. Jill (Brent) Mechling, Sarah (Scotty) Steward, Kimberly Mohler, William R. (Erica) Mohler, Kevin Brown, Thomas (Amber) Brown, Raymond (Chasity) Stout, and Steve (Courtney) Stout; 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, G. Jackie Boggs of North Carolina; and a brother, Paul Stout of North Carolina. Also surviving is her 22-year-old cat, Ling. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Stout; a grandson, Robert Mohler Jr.; a granddaughter, Cheryl (Brown) Carroll; two great-granddaughters; two sisters, Mozelle Dawson and Florence Stout; and two brothers, Robert Stout and Cecil Stout. Private family services will be held. Preferred memorials are to the Bluffton-Wells County Animal Shelter/ Wells County Humane Society.
