Bart A. Dudley, 44, of Bluffton, died at 2:38 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, in Bluffton. Mr. Dudley was born in Battle Creek, Mich., on Feb. 13, 1967. He married Tina E. Poorman in Bluffton on June 24, 1989; she survives. A 1985 graduate of Delton-Kellogg High School in Delton, Mich., Mr. Dudley worked as a Quality Technician at Star Engineering in Bluffton since 1988. He coached cross country and track, and was an assistant football coach at Bluffton High School. He was awarded "Coach of the Year" for five consecutive years from 1996 to 2001. He was an avid Red Wings hockey fan. Other surviving relatives include his father, W. H. Dudley of Plainwell, Mich.; his mother, Frances L. (Ford) Roberts of Traverse City, Mich.; one daughter, Kayla E. Dudley of Bluffton; one son, Damon B. Dudley of Bluffton; five brothers, Curtis (Jerry) Robinson of Kalkaska, Mich., Robin (Janice) Dudley of Britton, Mich., Tim (Yvonne) Robinson of Traverse City, Mich., Scott (Yvonne) Dudley of Oxnard, Calif., and Kip (Sherry) Dudley of Hickory Corners, Mich.; two sisters, Erin Rose of Richmond, Va., and Lori (Richard) Williams of Central Florida; his step father, Darwin Roberts; and his father and mother-in-law, Rex and Liz Kraner of Bluffton. Calling hours will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, and from 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel, 3220 E. Ind. 124, Bluffton. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home with Duane Steffen officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Michigan.
