Barbara L. Prough, 81, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022, at Ossian Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ossian, IN.

Barbara was born in Poneto, IN. on May 1, 1940, to Orville and Loretta (Crismore) Sullivan Sr., both parents preceded her in death. She married Curtis J. Prough in Montpelier, IN. on June 24, 1961, he preceded her in death on April 20, 2007.

She was a homemaker and worked 21 years at Davis Nursing Home in Bluffton, serving in the Nutrition department. Barbara was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church in Bluffton and Loving Stitches with the Ossian Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed crocheting and canning cherries.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Corinne Prough (Companion-Brian Bradburn) of Bluffton, one sister-in-law, Shirley Sullivan of Ft. Wayne, several nieces and nephews, and her faithful companion, Skeeter, her dog.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Nora Sue Prough, three brothers, Doyle Sullivan, Orville Sullivan Jr. and Paul Falk Sr.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 11, 2022, at the Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton from10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM immediately following visitation. Tony Garton will officiate services.

Burial will follow in the Gearnand Cemetery, Wells County.
