Annette "Annie" K. Levy, 59, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne, while surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Bluffton, on Jan. 20, 1952, to Kenneth "Ken" L. and Justine "Juss" Heyerly Aschliman, Annie is survived by her loving husband, Robert "Bob" A. Levy. Annie was a dedicated dental assistant during her working career until she became a devoted wife, mother, and grandma. She will be lovingly remembered for her quick and creative wit, her caring and thoughtful nature, and her sparkling blue eyes. Aside from her husband, Annie is also survived by two daughters, Raegan (Doug) Potter of Carmel and Erika (Chris) Gumz of Fort Wayne; the joys of her life, granddaughter, Claire Potter (age 10) and grandson, Drake Gumz (age 3); a brother, Nick (Brenda) Aschliman of Bloomington and nephews Neil and Clay; a sister, Monica (Jay) Lora of Willis, Texas; and her mother-in-law, Lucille (Myers) Levy of Bluffton. Visitors will be received by the family from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel. We will celebrate her life on Friday, June 10, with the service beginning at 10:30 a.m. with Ron Kipfer and Doyle Frauhiger officiating, and with one hour of additional visitation prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow the service at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery, in rural Bluffton. The family is humbled by the outpouring of love, support, and uplifting prayers during this most difficult time.
