Anna Marie Stauffer, 78, of Bluffton, died at 5:05 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010, at the Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Stauffer was born in Bluffton on March 26, 1931, to Cornelius and Anna (Oberlander) Steffen. She married Robert L. Stauffer in Bluffton on Nov. 30, 1951; he preceded her in death on Dec. 28, 2003. A 1949 graduate of Bluffton High School, Mrs. Stauffer was a homemaker and a dog kennel owner. Surviving relatives include a son, Rollin W. Stauffer of Bluffton; a daughter, Tara Tinnel of Wren, Ohio; a brother, George (Wanda) Steffen of Bluffton; a sister, Lillian Arnold of Bluffton; and eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Stauffer was also preceded in death by one son, Rick A. Stauffer, who died in 1986; three brothers, Ray, Norman and Willis Steffen; and a sister, Kate Nicholson. Calling will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday and from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel, 3220E Ind. 124, Bluffton. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Old Salem Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to the donor's choice.
