Anastacio "Andy" Lopez, 67, of Bluffton, passed away Sunday afternoon, Feb. 11, 2018, at New Haven Health Center.

Born in Edinburg, TX, on May 25, 1950, to Jose and Celia (Davila) Lopez; Andy married Abelina Montenegro in Dallas, TX, in 1979; she survives.

Andy served his country as Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps, from 1968 until 1970, in which he received two Purple Hearts for his service.  He was a truck driver for many years until his retirement.  He was a member of the Grover Sheets American Legion Post 111 of Bluffton and the Elks Lodge 796 of Bluffton.

Additional survivors include two sons, Robert (Alison) Lopez and Jose D. "J.D." Lopez, both of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Alexa and Jaden Lopez, and Lillian, Angelito, Maddox, King, and Nova Lopez; four brothers, Oscar Lopez of Bluffton, Ruben (Linda) Lopez of Lubbock, TX, Joe (Hortencia) Lopez of Ft. Wayne, and Eddie (Monica) Lopez of Dallas, TX; and two sisters, Celia (Mario) Caballero of Liberty Hills, TX, and Aurora (Raul) Mejia of Dallas, TX.

In addition to his parents, Andy was preceded in death by two sisters, Maria Gallegos and Enedelia Lopez; and three brothers, Robert, Daniel, and Uvince Lopez.

Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM, at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton.  An Elks Memorial Service will immediately follow visitation on Thursday, at 2:00 PM, at the funeral home, followed by a funeral service with Pastor Marlene Ellis officiating.  Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery with military graveside rites provided by the American Legion Post 111 in conjunction with the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard.
