Amy Ann Walton, 51, of Poneto, passed away Sunday afternoon, Dec. 22, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Amy was born in Columbus, OH, on Oct. 7, 1973.  She is survived by her mother, Ardith J. (Moore) McCoy of Fort Wayne.  Amy married Tye W. Walton in Grove City, OH, on June 26, 1992; he survives.

Amy graduated from Grove City High School in 1992 and later received her bachelor's degree in mortuary science from Cincinnati School of Mortuary Science.  Amy and Tye have co-owned and operated Tyeger's Pizza Parlour in Bluffton for the past 16 years and they loved to travel.  She also had a passion for animals and even made a hobby of helping strangers find their lost pets.

In addition to her mother and husband, Amy is survived by three daughters, Marilyn Walton of Poneto, Abby Walton of Fort Wayne, and Pamela Walton of Whitestown; along with a brother, Charles A. McCoy Jr. of Lima, OH.

There are no services planned at this time.

Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

In honor of Amy's love for animals, memorial contributions may be made to Wells County Friends of the Shelter or the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo, and can be mailed directly to the funeral home.
