Amos L. Salyers, 76, of Bluffton, died at 8:35 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Mr. Salyers was born on Nov. 11, 1935, in Heiner Ky., to Ollie James Salyers Sr. and Mima (Combs) Salyers. He married Elizabeth Combs on May 26, 1956, in Hazard, Ky.; she preceded him in death on Feb. 28, 2010. Surviving relatives include two daughters, Sherry Salyers of Ossian and Tracy Salyers of Chicago, Ill.; one sister, Bertha Secord of Somerset, Ky.; and one brother, Johnny Salyers of Florida. Mr. Salyers was also preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Lee Mullins, Nancy Combs, Vesta "Betty" Williams and Bonnie Sue Gephart; and two brothers, Ollie James Salyers Jr., and Jerry Salyers. There are no services planned.
