Allen R. Hamman, 73, of Bluffton, died at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, at his residence. Mr. Hamman was born on May 31, 1938, in Chicago, to Goldie and Ruby (Mattox) Hamman. He married Elaine Maggart on June 10, 1961, in Atlanta; she survives. Other surviving relatives include one daughter, Kim Fraze of Bluffton; two sons, Rob (Angie) Wheat and Kevin Hamman, both of Jasonville; seven grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. Mr. Hamman was preceded in death by one daughter, Covina Joy Hamman; and one sister, Wahnetta Wheat. Calling hours will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at the Sonlight Wesleyan Church in Bluffton. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial is at Six Mile Cemetery in Bluffton.
