Alice A. Honegger, 102, of Bluffton, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 22, 2015, at Christian Care Retirement Community in Bluffton. Alice was born December 30, 1912 in Adams County to Fred and Emma (Aeschliman) Isch. She married Alvin Honegger in Wells County on February 16, 1941. They shared 51 years in marriage before he preceded her in death in 1992. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church. Alice worked alongside her husband on their family farm and could often be found caring for her flowers and garden. She took joy in fishing and preparing delicious meals for her family and friends. She had a servant's heart and was a loyal caregiver for others especially her mother, sister and husband in their later years. She is survived by her three sons, Keith (Nancy) Honegger, Kenneth (Sharlene) Honegger both of Bluffton and Robert (Mary) Honegger of Ossian; 9 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers John, Amos, Ralph, Edward and Wilmer Isch; and sisters, Mary Diggelman and Ester Isch. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 25, 2015, at the Bluffton North Apostolic Christian Church with Nile Bucher and Mark Gerber officiating. Calling hours are from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 24, at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Adams County. Memorials can be made to Christian Care Retirement Community.
