Alan "Al" J. Isch, 73, of Bluffton, passed away Wednesday at 3:33 p.m. at River Terrace Estates in Bluffton. He was born Feb. 20, 1940, in Bluffton to Joe L. and Sylvia Aschliman Isch. He married Carole J. Kipfer Nov. 22, 1959, in Adams County; she preceded him in death Jan. 11, 2013. Al graduated from Berne French High School in 1958 and was a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Vicki (Tim) Fiechter and Jill (Doug) Frauhiger, all of the Bluffton; a son, Burt (Karlene) Isch of Francesville; a brother, Ernie (Lucille) Isch of Bluffton; a sister, Pat (Rod) Maller of Bluffton; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel with Nile Bucher officiating. Calling hours are Sunday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home.
